Mo'Nique is a fabulous vocalist with a talent for arranging and writing her own songs. She got her start singing in the church where she honed her skills, practiced her technique and developed the confidence to stand before thousands, while flooring them with a voice so powerful, it was said to be, none other than a gift from God.
Mo'Nique's talents lead her to a gospel choir called Powerhouse Fellowship. Between 1995 and 2002, she was able to share her gift and open up for CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond and other top gospel-recording artists. Monique also made appearances singing on City TV's Breakfast Television.
Although Monique continues to sing gospel music, she decided to spread her wings and expand her reach when she joined another vocalist, Janelle, and the two of them formed the group Mystique Blu. Mo'Nique's combined experiences singing in various choirs and as one half of the Mystique Blu duo, was the inspiration that led her to do her own thing as a solo artist with CampSoul Music Inc. Mo'Nique's plans to use her unique style, her vocal craftiness to earn herself a top spot among the R&B elite crowd.
